HELPING GATE/HONORS STUDENTS WORK TO THEIR POTENTIAL

GATE/Honors students should be earning A's and B's in honors classes. If your child is having difficulty maintaining A's and B's in honors classes, refer to the "Plan for Success" (attachment below) that offers suggestions for improvement. Peer Support will be offered after school from 4:00 - 5:00 PM for those students who need help with their homework.  Students should view their grade level/magnet updates for the Zoom link.  CJSF will assist students under the guidance of Mrs. S. Miller.  Students do not need to sign up.  All are welcome!
 
Agenda - The Agenda is a tool to help students organize their assignment and time.
Parents:  Please encourage your child to use this tool.   A good agenda has:
  1. Every box filled in with homework assignments including studying for tests
  2. What they did in class and review if there is no homework assigned that day
  3. Parents signatures at the bottom showing the parents have reviewed the agenda and homework
If a student needs a blank Assignment Schedule because they have lost or misplaced their agenda, see attachments.
 
If your child needs help with any subject, the Los Angeles Public Library offers FREE tutoring from 11:00 am - 11:00 pm.  You will need to have a library card to access this program.  To sign up for a library card, go to: https://www.lapl.org/about-lapl/contact-us/e-card/e-card-registration
