Principal's Message

Dear Portola Community, 

 

I am thrilled to embark on this journey as the principal of Portola. I am excited to be a part of the Portola family and to collaborate with our amazing students, teachers, families, and educational partners. I am committed to fostering a school culture where students are engaged in their learning, where teachers are supported in their professional growth, and where families are partners in education. 

 

Throughout my 20 years in education, I have served as a teacher, counselor, and assistant principal at both middle and high school levels. I am deeply passionate about learning and education. I strongly believe that every child deserves a quality education that prepares them with the skills they need to succeed academically, as well as socially and emotionally.  

 

As I step into this role, I am committed to supporting the wonderful school culture of Portola where students are eager participants in their own learning, teachers receive unwavering support for their professional growth, and families are appreciated as integral partners in education. 

 

I am eager to immerse myself in our school and community. I am looking forward to discovering and celebrating all the remarkable accomplishments at Portola, especially the dedication to diversity and inclusion. Together, we will continue to cultivate an environment where every individual feels welcomed and valued, regardless of their background or identity.
